I was there with my friend's vr4. I tried to look for you after my first run, but couldn't find you. I'll be there again next wednesday since it's going to be the last one for this year. Hope to see you there.
: There was a packed crowd there full of all types of cars, only thing wrong with it though was that I was the only Z! Other than my cousin(1992 240zx coupe) and friend(1991 240sx Fastback) there was only one other Nissan there, which was another 240sx with a Sr20Det engine in it. Being that it was my first time racing legally, I was pretty nervous seeing all the sooped up Integs, Civics, and Mustangs.
: My first race was against the Sr20Det 240sx, of course I had no chance, but I pulled on him in the beggining until he left me during second gear. I was un-experienced in racing so I shifted too early and ended up not getting the speed I wanted. Dissapointingly I received my stub with a 17.1 @ 85mph, reaction time 1.1, hehe I had to laugh. : Having lost alot of confidence I munched on some corndogs and was pumped again. This time I raced a 95 Turbo Eclipse, again I had no chance of beating him. I for sure knew I couldn't seeing that he wore a freakin Bike helmet, meaning that he is able to run under 14 secs. My reaction time for this race was better at .933 and I was keeping up for awhile. This time I waited until the tip of the redline mark and shifted, which helped alot. I ended up in fourth gear couple meters away from finish. Seeing the 15.9 made me a happy boy. It may not be as good, I was content. : I was even more content when I seen sooped up Civic Si's and Mustangs with 16.5-17.0 marks. There was a Yellow Viper with Nos there that ran mid 10s. I really wanted to see other fellow Zs there. Overall Me and my friends came home glad that we had a new experience and seen what cars we thought were hella fast which really weren't. : Sorry if this was too long, I tried taking out as much nonsense as possible. BTW my friends Fastback got 16.3s and the coupe got 16.0s. I will try to post pics A.s.a.p
